Fiona Yu,

Treasurer

My name is Fiona and I'm a rising junior. I'm majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in ASL. I got involved in  ASL because I saw a friend practicing for their ASL class, and I thought it was a really cool language! Since then, I've become really interested in the language and also in Deaf culture and I want to challenge myself to learn more about it and become more involved in the Deaf community. In my free time, I like to play guitar and sing. I also enjoy playing some video games.

Christine Lew,

President

Hey! I'm currently a senior majoring in Psychology and Disability Studies, and minoring in ASL. I'm a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), and I hope to conduct research on the connection between language deprivation in Deaf children and negative mental health outcomes on Deaf adults. I'd be happy to chat with you if you're interested in those things too! Email me at lew32@uw.edu

Bailie.jpg

Bailie Badger,

Vice President

My name is Bailie and I am a 3D4M student at UW. I got into ASL back in high school when we needed to learn a language, I ended up choosing ASL and liked it a lot so I finished my second year and stopped for a bit then I realized that I needed a third year to graduate so I began taking ASL again at UW but fell in love with it even more all over again! Now I am going to minor in ASL and am super passionate about learning as much as I can about ASL and deaf culture as it truly inspires me. Other than ASL I enjoy making resin art, sculpting, and listening to music!
