ASL Club at UW Fall Quarter Meeting Schedule Mobile.png

2026-27 School Year Schedule

Beginners Meetings:  We have a “beginners series” that starts from scratch at the beginning of the quarter working through to basic conversation skils! Meetings will be an hour long from 5-6 pm in the HUB. This meeting is specifically for new and beginner signers wanting to learn ASL! If you are taking part, attend as many meetings as possible for the most effective learning! All PowerPoints and our vocab list from our Beginners Meetings (2023) can be found here.

ASL Chats: Directly after our beginners meetings, from 6-7 pm, we will have an hour of practicing ASL or playing ASL-related games. This is the time to spark discussion with peers, learn more about deaf culture, and meet others passionate about learning languages. All of our meetings are for signers of all levels, but we encourage a voices off environment! This may be out of your comfort zone at first, but it's an important accessibility and learning measure.

ASL Outings: Every odd week in the UW school schedule, alongside our Monday club meeting, we meet at a location either on-campus or around the U District area to continue practicing our ASL skills in different environments! Some of our most popular ASL outings include boba nights, movie nights, board game nights, potlucks, bowling outings, and picnics.
