Ben Kosa,
President,
He/Him/His

My name is Ben Kosa and I am a Sophomore at the University of Washington who is majoring in computer science and computational neuroscience. Although I am Hearing, I was raised by a Deaf father and a Deaf-Blind mother who raised me as a strong signer. ASL is not only the native language I speak at home, but it was also my first. I strongly believe that the ASL Club president should be Deaf if possible and will gladly step down if anyone in the Deaf community wants to take the role, but until then I will do everything in my power to ensure that the ASL Club stays authentic to Deaf culture and accessible for not only the Hearing but also the Deaf.

Faith Nitz,
Outreach Coordinator,
She/Her

Faith is a communications major and ASL with a love for Deaf pop culture. She's taken 5 combined quarters of ASL at South Puget Sound Community College and UW. She joined ASL club as an outreach officer to immersive herself in the language. She hopes the club continues to grow and inspire people to adopt ASL as a second language.

Alessio Tosolini,
Vice President,
He/Him

Hey everyone! My name is Alessio Tosolini and I'm a freshman here at the University of Washington majoring in Linguistics and Computer Science. I studied a bit of ASL my sophomore year of high school but gave up after a bit after being unable to find a community to practice with. I picked it up upon coming to the UW and have been studying it using various resources on YouTube and practicing at ASL club. Besides ASL club, I enjoy studying languages, bingeing Netflix series, and spending time with friends.
