I'm a CODA and I grew up attending Deaf expos, gatherings, and raised with Deaf friends throughout my childhood. As I grew older I realized I had a lot to learn in terms of grammar, word structure, and signs. I'm super passionate about teaching as much ASL as I can to my close friends and family. I'd like to see the ASL club thrive and I'm happy to help in any way!

Hey! I'm Sam, the ASL club Vice President this year. I'm a senior majoring in Astronomy and minoring in ASL, and have been learning ASL since I was in middle school (eight years now!) I am so excited to continue being an officer working with this club, and can't wait to sign with y'all!

Hello, I'm Chloe and I'm the treasurer this year. I'm a fourth year student, majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences with an interest in audiology. I've been learning ASL since high school, and I'm very excited to meet all of you!

Vivian Trella-Jacobson (she/her)

Hey y’all! I’m Vivian, this year’s outreach coordinator. I’m a geology major and a massive nerd about plants, theatre, archery, and rocks. I started truly learning ASL a year ago in ASL club and it has brought me immense joy coming to a community full of such positivity and love every week. I’m excited to serve you this year on council and to chat with y’all!

Hello! I'm a hearing sophomore majoring in biochemistry & minoring in ASL. I began learning ASL in high school and instantly fell in love with the language, culture, and community. Now, I'm incredibly passionate about the intersection of hearing science and Deaf culture. I'm super excited to be an officer this year & to continue connecting and signing with other students in this community!

Hi! My name is Anisha, and I’m an officer for the club this year. I’m a second year majoring in atmospheric science and minoring in public policy. I started learning ASL in high school, and have loved it since. I’m so excited to help plan for this year and get more involved in Deaf culture!
